Happy Anniversary!!! May 8 was our Ten-year mark!!! I just want to say THANK YOU for all the support.
A very special welcome to our new team members!
Our time with Dave, our coach, has been eye-opening and very heartening. He shared with me something I already know: I'm very lucky to have so many wonderful, intelligent, thoughtful people working alongside me to make our company and brand better than ever.
Speaking of better than ever, I thought I might share some interesting numbers with you. Despite all the changes in our team in the first quarter of this year, we actually made some strides in our second quarter.
- We finished April 2013 ahead of April 2012.
- We doubled the number of NEW clients this April, as compared to last year: 420
- Our website gets almost 300 hits per day.
- Our clients are even more ecstatic than ever, as our reviews continue to improve.
Our new level system gives everyone the recognition and tools to keep advancing. It's what we've needed for a long time, and I'm really excited about it. Mostly I love how excited you are!
One of our new benchmarks is about retail. Keeping appropriate stock has been a little bit of a struggle lately, because hard decisions have to be made when we go through a dip in revenue like we did in the first quarter. However, we have pulled ahead of last year overall and I know we'll keep gaining. Hopefully, you will see a change soon in our inventory stock. In the meantime, please familiarize yourself with what we're missing from the shelves.
In the meantime, I want us to start working toward our retail goals for each team member and the salon in general. We are a little below our retail goals this month, but I know I can count on you to help us hit them so we can finish ahead of last year. As a thank you, I would like to sponsor a contest based on our Summit parameters:
- retail per client = retail sales divided by number of tickets. For example $100 / 20 tickets = $5 per client.
- based on a minimum of 75 tickets
- from today, May 11 to July 3. (we are closing for the day on Thursday, July 4)
